[His greeting could have been a hell of a lot worse than that. He just doesn't want her to blast him through the door. He's standing there looking very pretty as he holds up his box.] Let me come in and set it on the table so I can keep my box. You can keep the plate I put your dessert on.

I can give it back to you later. You're not coming in.

Oh come on. I'm not dangerous or somethin'. Okay I am, but not to you and not right now. I'll even behave myself. Just let me deliver your dessert pizza the way I'm s'pposed to.

-She opened the door fully, stepping aside and allowing the other inside. She let out a heavy sigh... she was still wearing her pageant outfit.-

[Duo's going to grin at her and slip his way in so he can set up the pizza.] Just as pretty as ya were before and ya can't get mad at me 'cause you were s'pposed to be pretty for the event so no cold showers. You'll ruin my hair and make up.

-Nope, something about what Duo said just does her in. Slowly, she begins to cry, slinking down to the floor.-

[Duo jerks around like someone shoved ice in his pants. He'll drop to the ground next to her and try to get a look at her face.] What? Don't cry. What'd I say? You can hit me with magic if ya want. You can even throw me into a wall again. Just don't cry. Please don't cry. I hate it when girls cry. I'll go away if I made you upset. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to.

I don't... I don't know why I'm crying. I don't want to be like this...

[Duo reaches up to rub the tears from her face.] It'll be alright. You're not gunna hit me with a spell or something if I hug you, are ya? I don't wanna see you upset like this.

-She shook her head, actually clinging to him without prompt. She didn't care at the moment. She just needed something...-

[Duo really can't stand against a crying girl. The girls in the gang when he was a kid had to be protected more than the boys. People would take a little girl off the street if they weren't careful. So Duo really can't do anything besides hold her and rock a little.] It's alright. You're alright. I'm even behavin' myself. You don't have to cry. Hey, at least I stuffed a bra so you can have tissues. I've got ya.

-Eventually, she calms down just enough to where she's sniffling.-

Hey, you don't have ta apologize. I just don't wanna see you upset. I can't stand ta let girls cry. [Duo's not going to let her go just yet. He'll pull out a little towel for her. It's always good to have something to wipe your hands on or in this case, someone's face.]

-She wipes at her face gently with the towel, the make-up now staining her face. She looks a mess, but somehow she's a bit more happy this way.-

I don't know... I don't know why it bothers me so much.

What's botherin' you? The fact that I called ya pretty? [Duo's confused.]

The pageant, the comments, just... Just everything.

You don't like all the attention? You don't wanna stand out 'cause you're pretty? [Duo's guessing here. He's not really sure but the way she acts makes him think he's on to something here.]

You can go back to that. Things'll quiet down pretty quick. We can get ya cleaned up and outta that stuff if you want. Would that make you feel better?

-She nodded. Anything to just feel like herself again. But...-

[Duo's going to look at her, clearly confused.] Who's not here? Should I go get someone for ya?

My "family"... Remilia., Sakuya, Koakuma, the gatekeeper girl, and even Flandre... none of them are here.

I'm sure ya miss 'em, but you can be happy their safe in your world, right? It's better than havin' them here where they can be experimented on.
