[Duo's careful helping her up before he takes the towel from her and tries to rub some of the tears from her face. He just ends up making her face worse, but he's trying.] Come on. To the bathroom. We'll wash your face.

[He starts to lead her toward where the bathroom is.]

-She'll be more than happy to be rid of all of this make up. It felt so fake to her.-

[She might want to slap him or just get upset since he's going to get a little personal with her. She hasn't minded so far though. He'll poke around the bathroom until he comes up with some soft soap and a wet towel. He'll gently start to wipe her face.] Just close your eyes and I'll get that stuff off.

-She nods, putting a measure of faith in him. And really? For as annoying as she was, he was at least honest. She could count on him, in an odd sense.-

[And Duo would never do anything that could hurt a girl who'd just been crying. He wouldn't upset her more either. He's had some practice taking care of people here so he's pretty good and careful at washing the makeup and tears from her face. Eventually he'll pull away and go to rinse the towel out.] There. You oughtta feel at least a little better now. You can go change into somethin' else if you want to.

-She nodded, but didn't make any indication she wanted to move. She was comfortable, at least.-

[Well that's just going to make Duo worry a little so he'll be coming back and touching her shoulder. He's a touchy guy, but it's also a good way to make sure that he has her attention.] Hey, you alright? I'll carry you, but I don't want you ta hit me.

I just... don't really feel like moving at the moment.

[Duo's going to chuckle.] Well I don't think you want me ta go into your room and pick out an outfit for ya, do you?

I think I'll just stay like this... I don't feel so insecure after that...

Okay. It is a pretty dress and ya can't get mad at me for sayin' it 'cause I'm complimenting fabric and not you. [Okay, technically the dress wouldn't look nearly as good without a pretty girl wearing it, but oh well.]

Wanna go sit on the couch or somethin'? Or you just wanna hang out in the bathroom?

Could you... Could you carry me?

'course I can. [Duo's going to stop forward and scoop her off of the counter. He's obviously got practice at this and he acts like she doesn't weigh anything. He carries her out of the bathroom and down to her room.]

-She practically doesn't weigh anything. She's got odd metabolism.-

[Duo's going to set her down gently on the bed with her feet hanging off the edge.] Here, how's this? Want me ta go get your dessert? I can heat it up again.

-She nods slightly. She couldn't remember the last time someone was so doting on her like this... it was usually Koakuma tending to her back at the mansion, but that was somewhat different.-

[The girl was just sobbing on the floor. Duo can't help doting on her. He can't let girls cry and get upset like that. He leaves her for a moment to go get the cinnamon dessert and heat it up as he walks back to her room.] Here. Do ya mind just eatin' it off the plate or should I go get you a fork and a plate or something?

-She shook her head, delicately taking the dessert between her fingers and taking rather small bites. It was delicious.-

[Of course it is. Duo's quite good at what he does... it's just the only thing he can make that won't kill the poor girl. Everything else he makes is questionable at best. He's going to sit on the floor near her feet. He's afraid to crowd her.] 's that what you had in mind? I don't make a lotta dessert pizzas.

It's... quite good, actually.

Good! I was worried. Figured you wouldn't ask for another one if ya didn't like it. [Duo's going to smooth out his skirt a little, very proud of himself.]

-She feels like she should say something more, but she just keeps eating in those tiny tiny bites. She's so delicate.-

[It's rather interesting for Duo to watch someone show such manners. He normally tries to wolf food down as fast as he can, before it's gone.]

You... have a definite talent, Duo.

Thanks, gor- Patchouli. I need a nickname for ya. One that doesn't make ya mad at me. [He flicks some of his hair behind his shoulder.]
