[Kid's running around outside of House 33 chasing bugs. He's never really seen something like them, being from a controlled environment. As the sun goes down, he's truely enchanted by the lightning bugs that come out. His journal's near by because he wants to make sure nothing happens to his comm.]

Wow, Dieb! This is so cool! Stop looking for umm... mice around the house and come play with me. Look! They glow!

Hunting is fun too and I'm hungry. Stay here and we can play in a little while.

Fine, but I'm going to catch all the glowing bugs without you! [He's shoving them in a little jar Haseo gave him before letting him go out.]

Ummmmm.... because they glow and it's fun I guess. It's fun having a jar of glowing bugs to use for a little light. [He shoves a couple more of the little things in his jar and holds it up again.] See? It's pretty.

[koyomi_yomi]

It is pretty. [She catches two more.] When we're done, you can have my jar, too.

[action]

[colony_brat]

But what are you going to look at tonight? You should keep it so you can see them all night.

[koyomi_yomi]

I'll be sleeping all night. [She holds her jar out to look at the light moving inside.]

[action]

[colony_brat]

Well before you go to sleep, silly. They're really pretty. Ooo! [He chases after a really bright one.]

[action]

[koyomi_yomi]

[Laughs.] Okay, if you don't want an extra jar of them.

[action]

[colony_brat]

[He chases the really bright one for a while before getting it and stuffing it in the jar. He runs back to show Koyomi his jar again.] Wow, that one's really big and bright. Look at it.

[koyomi_yomi]

It is! [She peers into the jar.] Is there going to be enough room? You caught so many.

[action]

[colony_brat]

[He puzzles over the jar.] I guess I should stop now...

[action]

[koyomi_yomi]

[She thinks he might be disappointed, so she offers her jar.] Mine isn't full. How about catching more for me?

[action]

[colony_brat]

Okay! [He quickly snatches her jar and hands over his own.] I make sure you have a lot to look at tonight!

[action]

[koyomi_yomi]

[Koyomi gives a little laugh and sits down on the grass to observe the other jar and wait. She starts humming a tune. She could imagine Duo -- older or younger -- using the light to cast shadow puppets on the wall.]

[colony_brat]

[Kid chases around more fireflies until he's tired and this jar is full as well.] Ko- ... Ko ummm... Ko-Ko! That's your new name since you're sweet like chocolate! Yeah! I filled your jar too! [shows it to her]

[action]

[koyomi_yomi]

Like chocolate? That sounds tasty. Thank you, Kid. [She pats him on the head and leans down to examine the jar in his hands.] It's so full, and you didn't break out in a sweat. [She reaches out with the one in her hands, waiting to exchange them.]

[action]

[colony_brat]

[He smiles widely at her and is happy from the petting. He soaks up any and all physical contact. He trades the jar in his hands for the one in here and smiles happily at the little lights.] You're fun, Ko-Ko. You'll come over tomorrow so we can play, right? I want to play with you again. It was fun. You're really sweet and nice like chocolate so I think it's a great name for you.

[koyomi_yomi]

[She smiles.] If Kid wants to play, I'll come over. [Then she adds in a conspiratorial tone.] I'll keep the lights next to my bed. [She gives him another pat on the head and starts walking away half turned, so she can still see him.]

[Kid waves after her, smiling as he clutches his jar of fireflies.] Bye, Ko-Ko! I can't wait until we can have more fun tomorrow!
