Back from Hell

[There's a thump as the journal falls to the floor and opens enough to record sound. Duo's sprawled on the floor of the repaired Azzip, his body thin and even more pale than it would have been in space. A week without food wasn't that hard on his body, but goin' that long while the Malnosso pushed his limits has taken its toll. He's curled up around his chest and clutches a small, beaten cross with a burned hand. Pain throbs where the cross had been branded into the taunt skin of his chest.

Luckily or un-luckily for Duo, Dieb was searching Azzip for her charge and is there when Duo is dumped inside. She hops over to him chittering happily until she gets a wiff of him and realizes how sick he is.]

Kit! What happened to you? Were you in a fight? Was it over a mate or a nest or food or something? [She waits and when the human doesn't respond she dives for the book she's so often seen him talking to. She could get ahold of his friends and get him help.]

No. [It's only one word but it takes everything Duo has to force it through his burned throat and lungs. He can't let Dieb call for help. Not until he can protect it against Kamui. Duo knows his nii-kun will kill himself trying to heal his wounds. Duo can't let that happen.

Dieb has other ideas and noses the journal until she can see that it's recording.] Someone has to help Kit- ummm... Duo. He's sick and he doesn't smell right and he's really quiet.

(ooc: I'm going poof this weekend. Last minute I figured out that I can go to Wisonsin with my parents. I'll have my phone of course, but tags will probably be a little slow for a bit, especially the longer ones.)

[Duo tries to throw something at the journal, but he realizes he has nothing to throw since the Malnosso took everything from him.]

We're in that place he makes food. He always tells me I'm not allowed to play in stuff here since people eat, but he gives me pieces of stuff anyway.

Shit, have ta get up, have ta... Something. He'll kill himself this time. Hide, hide works. Where? Closet's too easy. Counter. Place under front counter. [Plan in mind, Duo drags himself up on unsteady and makes his way behind the counter before collapsing and pulling himself under and hiding the best he can.]

Hide. [He croaks at Dieb who's confused but will play along and hide under a table.]

He's on the floor of his food place. He doesn't look very happy at me and he's sick. I can smell it on him. He doesn't smell right.

[There's some quiet shifting before the journal shows Duo, smiling. His voice is a soft whisper, but it's better than before at least.] Bed.

[He chuckles very softly when he realizes that pretty much answers both questions.]
