Bloody Aftermath

[Out in the cleared area made muddy with blood, Duo's going to be lying, seemingly dead. He's not though or he'd be gone with the other bodies. His clothes are torn and soaked with his blood and others. His scythe is deactivated, out of power for awhile, and lying under his chest. There's blood caked into his hair from where one of the intruders cracked him over the head hard enough to knock even him out and left him there for dead. His other wounds have long stopped bleeding, but the wound on the back of his head continues to ooze slowly. Someone please get the boy before he really does die.]

Hmm... figures you would have done something reckless...

-Sasarai kneels down and does a quick check of his vitals. He pulls out a Kindness Drops scroll from his pocket, focusing the soothing water magic onto Duo's head wound. He should come to his senses soon...-

The clinic will be over worked... perhaps I should just bring you home to recover.

[Ryuhou is limping through the battlefield, looking for his friends even though he could probably use medical help himself.]

Duo! [He hurries over the best he can, and kneels beside him, doing his best not to collapse there. Looking over, he eyes the other man warily.] Have you assisted him? Are you a healer?

Fear not. I've done what I could. But he's going to need further help for his head injury. I'm trying to revive him.

-He gives a few slaps to Duo's cheeks. That usually worked.-

[Oh yeah, slap the kid with the head injury. That's going to make his head feel better. He's going to need a lot of healing considering he'd cracked his skull a little. Sasarai can have a long moan for his troubles before Duo cracks an eye open. That's a terrible idea since even the tiniest light feels worse than having a Gundam step on his head. He'll moan again and close his eye.]

Ah, well he's awake! Sir Ryuhou, was it? If you take one arm and I take the other, we can take him to a proper healer, yes?

[He sets his jaw firmly and nods, moving to Duo's side. One of Ryuhou's arms appears to be injured, hanging limply by his side, but he'll be able to help Duo up with the other.] Of course. He'll need more care.

[Duo's not going to like being moved at all. It'll make him start to retch and that just makes his head pound and ache more.]

[Ryuhou tries to hold him steady with one arm.] We're taking you to the clinic, Duo. Try to hold on.

[Duo's torn between thinking he's finally dead and being sure that death can't hurt this bad. He also doesn't know what he's supposed to hold on to or why the world seems to have decided to move around like a drunk on an obstacle course. It's not very fun though. He's sure of that. His legs aren't working either, not that Duo can tell. He'll mostly have to be dragged to the clinic.]

-Well, Sasarai was going to do all that he could, as hard as Duo's condition was making the task at hand. Still, Duo would have no doubt done the same for either of them...-

[Ryuhou will do as much of the dragging as he can, but he's limping slightly himself, and his arm seems to be broken... hopefully those at the clinic won't be too overwhelmed by everyone to help them.]

[Duo's going to be pissed if he finds out his friends were helping him rather than taking care of themselves. In the mean time, he's too concerned about not throwing up because of the way his head is pounding. No, throwing up is bad. It would probably make his brains spill out. He's also going to be pissed if he finds out his scythe was lost and forgotten. He'll make Sasarai shake the Earth or Lab send out plants or make Dieb sniff around until they find it or they pass out from exhaustion.]

[Hijiri hears about Duo from Kamui and comes running, forgetting everything else.}

DU- [He sees Duo resting and stops himself from screaming and sits at his bedside instead, very worried as he looks at all those bandages wrapped round his lover.] ... Duo...

(ooc: I was either going to do this or I was going to post tonight with Duo waking up. Now I'm not sure which. I think I'll go ahead and leave him unconscious here and let him wake up later? I just don't believe no one would have told Hijiri.)

[At least he's been cleaned up. He doesn't seem to be in pain either, but he's very pale. There's a wide bandage around his head even though the wound on his scalp has been healed. The other wounds weren't that important so they're just cleaned and bandaged. Thankfully his scythe is resting against the wall next to the bed.]

[He reaches out to stroke Duo's cheek lightly, then runs his fingertips over the bandage round Duo's head, not liking at all that Duo's hurt his head. Then he pulls his chair closer so he can hold Duo's hand until he wakes up.]

[Duo's hand is dry and lifeless in Hijiri's, but at least he's not cold. That has to be a good sign, right?]

[He sits there holding his hand, waiting till he gets sleepy then he pulls the chair even closer and rests his head on the bed, closing his eyes for a short rest, not letting go of Duo.

He'll camp out at the clinic for as long as it takes for Duo to wake up, never really leaving his side unless he really has to.]
